INSINÖÖRILIITTO
In addition to existing members, graduating students are an important target group for the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland. That's why it’s important to explain the benefits of the union in a relaxed, fresh way, but with a clear message.
The challenge
How to tell about rights and benefits to new and longstanding members
The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland wanted to raise awareness of the union’s mission and the benefits its members are entitled to. Although a great many engineers are members of their union, it is not always clear to everyone what the union does for its members and what the benefits of membership are.
The solution
We created the likable robot character IN-551
We rose to the challenge with a 3D animation featuring a robot character, IN-551, created by Kuubi to illustrate the challenges of working life and highlight the benefits and rights of union members. Engineers and students quickly embraced IN-551, an endearingly charming character.
The production
We made a film about the adventures of the IN-551 robot
We set out to explain the mission and membership benefits of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland with a 3D animation starring IN-551. We wanted to create a video with an engaging style that would go down well with the sense of humour and culture of people in the tech industry – without forgetting solid factual content, of course. The video was targeted directly to members of the union, and to engineering students.
“Promoting the objectives of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland with Kuubi was an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend them!”
– Maria Broman, Insinööriliitto
The charismatic IN-551 melted the hearts of customer and union members. The 3D animation has also spread organically among engineering professionals and students.
